You have an important role to play in shaping our plans for the project
Going Underground in Devizes offers a once in a generation opportunity to conserve and enhance the natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage of the landscape.
However, while National Grid has world-class expertise in construction and engineering, this landscape enhancement project has always been led by stakeholders – with key influences coming from those who know and care the most about the local area.
Key to the success of the project is our work in partnership with other organisations, including specialists in landscape, ecology and archaeology.
Beyond this we want to hear from local residents and those who use the footpaths on Roundway Hill too.
It’s really important that local people are able to see our plans and get a feel for what this section of the skyline could look like pylon free.
The virtual tour on our homepage allows you to find out more, both in terms of what the project will achieve and how we will manage the construction process. You can even remove the pylons at the click of a mouse.
Throughout the project we’ll also be sharing information and hosting events, including webinars while Covid-19 restrictions remain in place.
To share your feedback and please get in touch with us via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or over the phone (0330 134 0051) and let us know what you think about the project, including whether you, your school or community group might be able to get involved.
We look forward to hearing from you.
