VIP Project Sixth Annual Report

The latest Visual Impact Provision (VIP) Annual Report is now available to download

The sixth annual report for the Visual Impact Provision (VIP) project covers the activities that we have undertaken over the last year, our engagement work with a wide range of stakeholders and an overview of each of the four prioritised projects.

A lot has happened. Work in the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) is progressing well. Our project team working on site have been doing so under stringent health and safety measures to protect themselves and crucially keep the local community safe. We are very grateful to our teams who are continuing to go out to work every day, and to the wider community and stakeholders whose support has enabled us to continue with the project.

In the Peak District National Park and Snowdonia National Park, planning applications were submitted before the pandemic hit, and have since been granted for both projects.

We are working to submit a planning application for our project in the North Wessex Downs AONB in 2021.

The report documents progress of the VIP project from June 2019 to May 2020. You can download a copy of the report in English here, and in Welsh here.

We hope you will enjoy reading our annual report. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email the project’s community relations team on visualimpact@nationalgrid.com.
